Can I place an order directly online?
Yes! We’re excited to introduce our ‘Shop’ now available for ordering directly online. This is for first name only oyster shell place cards. If you have all your RSVPS, know your final guest count and all guest details you can place your order. Delivery is 2-3 weeks from order date. You will be notified by email when your order ships.
Can I reserve oyster shell place cards for my future event without my final guest list?
Yes! This is a great option for those who want to reserve oyster shell place cards before sell out but do not have final guest details yet. Please use our contact form instead of ordering on our website to learn how to guarantee your future order and avoid sell out. We will reply to your inquiry within 1-3 business days with pricing information & availability.
Where do you source your oyster shells from?
We are so proud to offer only the most durable, beautiful and unique oyster shells from Boston, Duxbury MA, and many parts of Cape Cod - including famous Cape restaurants and raw bars! We source many oyster shells from Wellfleet. Our oyster shells are delicate yet durable and range in sizes from 2.5 - 4 inches. We clean & bleach them and let them dry for hours in the New England sunshine, exposing the natural beauty of each one. We only use the cup side of the oyster shells.
Why do you use permanent calligraphy vinyl?
We have used pens/handwriting in the past and have found that the names often times do not last and are not waterproof. Using permanent calligraphy vinyl creates a forever product and a flawless name application every time. We seal the names to the shells, making them durable, cohesive and smooth. Guests love being able to use our shell place cards after your event as ornaments, ring dishes & decor - guaranteeing the names last on the shells and they remember your special event.
Can I change the font style of the shell place cards?
We may be able to use your event font style - send us a message or email at info@stonybrookcallabs.com. We love to customize and charge a $40 design fee for fonts that are used that are not our standard font shown on our site.
Can I add guest first name, last name or table number?
Yes! However, our website currently only has the option for first name ordering at this time. Please send us a message on our contact form to see examples of our font we use for first name, last name and table numbers, as well as pricing.
Do you offer discount for ‘bulk’ orders?
We do not. Our process is meticulous to ensure each shell is a beautiful product. Therefore, large orders require larger attention to details & time. Our average order size is around 125 shell place cards. We accept orders of 10-200+ shell place cards.
What is your shipping process?
We ship anywhere in the US! Each oyster shell place card is individually packaged in bubble wrap. Client’s love unwrapping each unique oyster shell place card to see the names perfectly fitted to each. For orders over 75 oyster shells, we label each bubble wrap pouch for your ease of planning. Orders are shipped 2-3 weeks from order date. Once your order has shipped it should arrive USPS 1-5 days.
Do you accept refunds or returns?
We do not offer refunds or returns. We have created over 10,000+ oyster shell place cards with 100% satisfaction rating. We pride ourselves in a high-quality product…from sourcing only oyster shells that meet our standards, to high quality paints and flawless name applications. We have checks in place to ensure spelling and accuracy of your orders each time. Should you be unsatisfied in any way, we would always do our best to provide an outcome to make it right.
